BIMP! SAME REPETITIVE EDITION FOR MANY IMAGE FILES WITH GIMP? GIVE A CHANCE TO BIMP AND SAVE LIFE!

This is my case. I was scanning old drawings mainly to not to lose them if I want to reccle their paper and get empty space. Small amount of image files is affordable to crop one by one…but what happens when you have too many? Like 50, or 100?

Then here comes the doubt: I take the risk of spending time looking for some automated process or solution in Internet? What if I do not get it, and in that time I could already have edited all those 50 or 100 tediously by hand?

Alessandro Franesconi coded BIMP!

Thanks to Bimp I have cropped more than 50 scanned images in…seconds!

Once you downloaded the plugin from the page written below open it from Gimp->File->Batch Image Manipulation Plugin, add all images you want to edit, and Add «Crop» option.
In my case I had scrap on left and bottom sides, so I had to insert values of the rectangle of the part of the image I want to keep, 1900px width and 2630px height with starting point left-top.

I hope this was useful for you and if you calculate you will have several times of image batch repetitive editions in you work, I encourage you to spend some minutes of your time to install BIMP in order to save hours.

Enjoy!
